Professional Experience

Belén joined Lawyalty in January 2014 and in July 2015 became a partner.

Belén has over ten years’ experience first gained in Spain and then, from 2002, in Italy, assisting Spanish, Italian and, in general, foreign clients, on commercial and corporate matters, both judicially and extrajudicially.

Belen is particularly experienced in domestic and international commercial contracts: distribution, agency, franchising, sales, procurement, joint ventures, transfer of technology and know-how, licensing agreements, intercompany agreements, non-disclosure agreements and sponsorship agreements.

To this contractual expertise, Belen adds extensive experience gained in corporate matters & M&A (due diligence, letters of intent, investment contracts, share acquisitions, transfer of business or of business units, mergers and divisions) as well as in Intellectual Property law (contractual and litigation).

The clients that Belén assists –  either in specific transactions or on a continuous basis-  are predominantly Italian, Spanish and other foreign companies (including multinationals), operating in diverse sectors including: retail, fashion, cosmetics, telecommunications, tourism, pharmaceuticals and chemical, energy, transport and real estate.

Belén is responsible for the Lawyalty Spanish desk created to provide services to Spanish companies based or with interests in Italy (or vice versa) in every type of commercial or company transactions, in court and in arbitration.

Belén has been a seminar speaker on the subject of commercial law (i.e. intercompany agreements) and has participated in editing the journal of “International Intellectual Property Law Basics”, 2008, Consulegis, EEIG.

Since 2002 Belén has been a member of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Italy and of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Spain.
